Yes, MAC still recycles your empty eyeshadow containers.
If you bring in 6 empty shadow containers, lipstick tubes or lipglasses you will get ONE free lipstick, shadow or lipglass of your choice, excluding those from the limited edition collections and the Viva Glam Collections.
However it might vary from place to place.. Ask your make-up MUA. The saleswoman here said it's 6, and cosmopolitan said if you bring 6 in you get a free eyeshadow, lipglass or lipstick.

take 6 MAC containers, you can take finished lipstick, foundation, blush, lipgloss/balm.. ANY of the MAC containers...and they'll give u a lipstick. not bad of a trade.
They do, and its not just empty eye shadows, its anything of theirs that's empty. I believe you need 5 then you get two free lipsticks.
Its 6 empty containers, not 5. and theyre probably not supposed to be depotted, just used up.
I am a MAC make-up artist and u need 6 empties. U can have 6 empty containers of any of our products to get 1 free lipstick.
yea i think you need 5 empty eyeshadow or lip stick tubes and you get a free mac lipstick
