I have some mascaras and lipstick that i bought in march of 2007?

that i havent opened yet, are they still ok to use?I have some mascaras and lipstick that i bought in march of 2007?
If you mean 2006, then DON'T use it. It is probally all gunky, and not good. If you mean 2007, then, I don't see why notI have some mascaras and lipstick that i bought in march of 2007?
yah the are ok to ues but when they start getting clupy and hard to put on throw it otu!
yes. Since you haven't opened them they haven't had a chance to be a breeding ground for germs. They should be fine.

They'll be completly fine most cosmetics have a sell-by-date of around a year!Enjoy!
If unopened and unused both the mascara and lipstick should be ok. If they have a sealed wrapper around them, even better.





Once opened mascara should only be used for 4 to 6 months, and then discarded. With each use the mascara will have picked up bacteria from your lashes. While the few that naturally occur usually don't cause any problems, in the tube they can multiply over time. If the bacteria grow too numerous, and your eyes are susceptible, you risk getting an eye infection. Better to be safe.





Lipstick, on the other hand, is okay to use for up to a year, after put into use. The ingredients are not as likely to allow bacterial growth, and our mouths are better able to cope with them. Still, after a year it is safer to get some new lipstick.
Lipstick can actually last for almost a year. The mascara may be almost time to throw away though, they're usually only good for about 4 months, 6 at the most but that may be pushing it.
Yes of course they are. Make up lasts years, though if you use it often you should throw out eye makeup after 1-2 years and other makeup afther 2-3 years to prevent bacteria build up on them so you won't get an infection.

Lipsticks last for about 1-2 years. But basically throw it out when it smells bad after certain period of time. Mascara has a shorter shelf life. You should throw it out 4 months after you open it/you use it the first time.
You should go through ALL your makeup every 4-6 months. Throw away all makeup that has been used and if it smells different. The lipsticks are probably still ok--but if they havent been used-- are they really worth keeping?? I would dump the mascara. Mascara should be thrown away every 2-3 months--- I am very paranoid when it comes to things that go into or near my eyes. I buy new makeup brushes every 4-6 WEEKS! If my eyeshadow, pressed powders have that wierd shiny streak that can develop from using them repeatedly, i throw them out right away and get new ones.
