How do you get lipstick out of your carpet? My dog got ahold of my lipstick, and it's all over my cream carpet

It is bright red. Help! How do you get lipstick out of your carpet? My dog got ahold of my lipstick, and it's all over my cream carpet
After you have scraped off any residue, be careful not to ';push'; it into the carpeting, take fingernail polish remover on a white rag and dab at it. Dont rub. Rinse the area with plain water when you are done. Dont put cleaning chemicals on it, this will only set the stain and even a professional can not get red out once it is set. If some red tint remains, you could go to the store and get a tannin remover. Tannin is the substance in red that makes it permanent. How do you get lipstick out of your carpet? use a grease cutter.... Dawn Dishwashing liquid.

Be Blessed
Goo be gone will take it right out, but be carefull not to use too much or you can damage the backing of the carpet. After you get as much of the stain out as possible, use a steam cleaner to get the rest and also rinse the carpet out.
try eye make up remover or the one that never fails for me is hairspray will get just about anything out even biro off the sofa !!

Loosen stain with a non-flammable dry cleaning solvent.

Or purchase a product called Goo Gone and follow directions on bottle

Remove carpet stains

You can lift out many stains from your carpet with vinegar:

Rub light carpet stains with a mixture of 2 tablespoons salt dissolved in 1/2 cup white vinegar. Let the solution dry, then vacuum.

For larger or darker stains, add 2 tablespoons borax to the mixture and use in the same way.

For tough, ground-in dirt and other stains, make a paste of 1 tablespoon vinegar with 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and rub it into the stain using a dry cloth. Let it set for two days, then vacuum.

To make spray-on spot and stain remover, fill a spray bottle with 5 parts water and 1 part vinegar. Fill a second spray bottle with 1 part nonsudsy ammonia and 5 parts water. Saturate a stain with the vinegar solution. Let it settle for a few minutes, then blot thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth. Then spray and blot using the ammonia solution. Repeat until the stain is gone

Good Luck !
Use Goo Gone. Ive used it several times on my carpet for various things and lip gloss was one of them.
